Service, Fairness, and Common Sense for District 6

I’m Tara O’Donnell, and I’m running to protect what makes Oldham County special. I’ve spent my life working where people need help the most, and I believe local government should be grounded in fairness, compassion, and real‑world experience.

What I’m Fighting For

• No Data Centers in Oldham County to protect our land, water, and rural quality of life
• Protect seniors and support aging in place with dignity
• Regulate Flock style surveillance cameras with transparency and community consent
• End 287(g) the agreement formal contract between ICE and the Oldham County Detention Center and mandate ICE bans on out of state transfers.
• Protect and expand Oldham County parks for families and future generations
• Support working families with more child enrichment and after school opportunities
• Increase teacher pay to strengthen our schools
• Make cannabis and hemp products safe, regulated, and accessible
• Increase local retail options to strengthen our economy
• Listen and respond to residents with accountability and compassion
I’ve worked in kitchens, clinics, courtrooms, and labs, and those experiences shaped how I show up for my community. I know what it feels like to navigate systems that don’t always work for working families, because I’ve lived it myself.
My background includes European culinary training, paralegal work, healthcare support for cancer patients, cannabinoid science, and certification in data analytics. Every step taught me something about resilience, dignity, and fairness.
I’m running for Magistrate because I want to make sure every resident of District 6 feels heard, respected, and protected.
